This week, I hosted a private client day at Moreton Hall, a leading UK boarding school currently hosting Chinese families through its international summer programme.

What actually works in a premium tutoring business?

If you want to attract high-paying clients and grow your tutoring business sustainably, the shift isn’t more hours or more content. It’s more clarity.

That means:

  • Positioning yourself as a partner, not just a provider

  • Marketing at the level you want to operate, not the one you’ve outgrown

  • Creating offers that speak to real outcomes, not just hours or lessons

  • Speaking to decision-makers in the international education market with confidence

The tutors I work with who are getting traction aren’t louder, they’re clearer.

They’ve stopped trying to prove their worth.
They’ve started showing up as the person their ideal clients already trust.
And their businesses are growing faster and more sustainably.

Final thought

If your tutoring business isn’t growing, it’s not a sign that you need to try harder.
It’s a sign you need a strategy that matches where you’re really at.

Because the game changes when you stop trying to convince people and start showing up like someone they’d feel lucky to work with.
