Search “how to connect with your higher self” and you’ll find endless advice involving meditation cushions, chanting, or full moon rituals. Lovely for some, but if you’re building a business, running a household and trying to keep your head above water, it can feel somewhat unrelatable.
What if connecting with your higher self didn’t require incense or hours of silence? What if it was simply the practice of making decisions from the calm, confident version of you, the one who already knows what you need?
That’s what I want to explore today. Because your higher self isn’t out there somewhere mystical. It’s already here. And when you learn to listen to her, business feels lighter, simpler and much more aligned.
In business circles, the phrase “higher self” can sound vague. Here’s how I see it:
Your higher self is the version of you who:
makes decisions from clarity rather than fear
says no without guilt to the things that drain you
prices with confidence because she knows her worth
builds a business that works for her life, not against it
This isn’t spiritual jargon. It’s the foundation of building a sustainable, profitable business that actually excites you.
The entrepreneurial world is noisy. Social media shouts what you 'should' be doing. Competitors appear to be miles ahead. Well-meaning family members like to chip in with their thoughts.
And in the middle of all that noise, it’s easy to:
undercharge because you don’t feel “ready”
take on clients who aren’t a fit because you don’t want to disappoint
follow trends instead of trusting your own strategy
Every time you do, you move a little further away from the version of yourself who already knows better.
1. Pause before you react
When a client enquiry comes in or a new opportunity lands, don’t answer straight away. Instead, ask:
“What would the calm, confident version of me choose here?”
This one pause can save you from decisions you’ll regret later.
2. Future-casting
Imagine yourself one year from now, running the business you want. What choices did you make to get there? This future-self lens pulls you out of short-term panic and into long-term alignment.
3. The alignment check
I use this all the time: If it doesn’t excite you, it won’t excite anyone else.
Your higher self is energised by her work. If something feels heavy or draining before you’ve even started, it’s probably not for you.
When you practise these small shifts consistently, here’s what happens:
You attract better clients. Clarity and confidence are magnetic.
Your pricing feels natural. You stop second-guessing and start owning your value.
Your growth speeds up. Because you’re no longer pulled in ten directions at once.
This is where the real transformation lies. Not in adding more to your to-do list, but in choosing like the version of you who’s already living the business you want.
Connecting with your higher self isn’t woo woo. It’s practical. It’s powerful. And it’s one of the smartest business strategies you can adopt.
Every decision (from the offers you create to the clients you work with) becomes easier when you make it from that place of clarity and alignment.
