Saturdays too, often. You've stopped expecting weekends to feel like weekends.
You've thought about putting your rates up, and something always stops you. It isn't laziness. There's a sense that the business underneath the teaching isn't solid enough yet to justify it.
I work with tutors charging £120 an hour who only work school hours. The teaching isn't what separates them from where you are now.
It's the second half of the business. The part nobody teaches you alongside the teaching: how to decide who you're for, what to charge, how to be findable by the right families, and how to run the whole thing as one practice instead of a pile of separate sessions.
Being brilliant at teaching and being chosen for it are two different skills. You've spent years perfecting one of them. The other one you've been left to work out alone.
Premium has very little to do with being a better teacher. It's the whole practice being in order: one clear thing you sell, a price that holds, a presence the right families notice, and the confidence to carry all of it when someone pushes back.
That's learnable, and it's what I teach.

A twelve-month programme that takes you from invisible and hourly to a premium practice you built on purpose.
It's structured around the Aster Method: five pillars covering everything a serious tutoring practice needs. It goes well beyond finding international clients, into the business foundations, the marketing, the mindset and the sales. You work through them in sequence, one building on the last.
How to identify your specialism and own it without feeling like you're closing doors. How to write a positioning statement that actually does something.
A full LinkedIn rebuild: your headline, your About section, your featured posts, the whole profile reworked so the right parent stops scrolling. How to talk about what you do so it lands as expertise, not just experience.
The difference between an hourly rate and a package and why packages protect your income and your time and shift the way clients see you. How to structure your offer so it's clear to the client and worth what you charge for it.
The psychology of premium pricing: why putting your rates up is a form of communication, not just arithmetic. The rate-raise conversation, scripted so you can say it without rehearsing for three weeks first. Contracts, terms, cancellation policies and the onboarding sequence that sets the right tone from day one.
A content approach you can actually sustain, not the one that requires three hours of filming on a Saturday. Instagram: what to post and how often, plus captions that build trust rather than fill a grid.
LinkedIn: how to use it as a slow-burn referral engine rather than a job-hunting tool. How to start building an email list and why it's the only audience you actually own. The welcome sequence that turns a new subscriber into someone who already trusts you before they book a call.
The mindset reset that makes selling feel less like begging and more like a service. The discovery call structure that qualifies the family as much as it pitches to them.
How to handle the four objections that come up every time: too expensive, need to think, husband needs to be involved, seen a few other tutors. How to follow up without feeling like you're chasing. DM scripts and enquiry response templates you adapt rather than invent.
How to onboard a new family so they feel they've made the right decision before the first lesson. The check-in rhythm that keeps clients long-term without feeling like admin.
How to ask for referrals in a way that gets you referrals. Building a practice that compounds, where each good client brings the next, rather than one that starts from scratch every September.
Running through every pillar: the mindset work the mindset work. Pricing confidence and the thing that makes you shrink at the exact moment you should be showing up. It isn't a module bolted on at the end, because that isn't where it happens. It happens the morning you go to raise a rate or post something visible.

The full Aster Method, a live call with me every month, and a room of tutors doing the same work.
I'm Sarah Capewell. I was a Head of English and an examiner before I built Aster Tuition. For the last several years I've worked with international families and the agents who advise them in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong and I've helped experienced tutors position themselves for premium work in those markets and beyond.
I built the Aster Method because nothing I found taught the whole thing: the positioning, the pricing, the marketing, the sales, the infrastructure and the mindset work that makes all of it possible. So I built it myself.

No. The method works across premium tutoring markets. My own background is in the international and Chinese education space, so it runs through some of the examples, but the Authority pillar is about you choosing your own specialism, not adopting mine. If you later decide you want the deep international access, the live agent intelligence and the direct route into those family networks, that sits in a separate programme called Aster Advantage.
The live call is once a month. Everything else is at your own pace. You're not fitting a new timetable on top of the one you've got. You're working through the method in the gaps you already have, with a clear path so you're never wasting those gaps deciding what to do next.
Both and they aren't separate. The mindset piece runs through the practical work because that's where it actually shows up, in the moment you go to raise a rate or post something visible. It isn't a module you take before the real work starts.
I won't pretend I can guarantee what happens in your business. What I can tell you is that the method is clear, the steps are in sequence and you'll have me and the room alongside you while you work through it. What no programme can do is the effort. That part is yours.
Because the first members help shape it and I'd rather reward the people who back it early than the ones who wait. £79 for life is my thank-you for being first.
